After joining the Ice Carving Club at the Culinary Institute of America, and during his externship in Hawaii, Chef Jason was an apprentice under world class Ice Carver Daren Ho. During his apprenticeship he competed in the Lahaina Cannery Mall International Ice Carving Competition.
After completing the apprenticeship and returning to the CIA he became President of the Ice Carving Club. During his time as President Chef Jason was able to grow the club by doubling the amount of student members.
Chef Jason continues to use his skills to create carved sculptures out of ice and food for special events and in his own restaurants.
